Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram has trained guns at the Centre over the Morbi bridge collapse in poll-bound Gujarat saying that it was shocking that nobody from the government has apologised or resigned after the tragedy which claimed the lives of more than 135 people.

Addressing a press conference in the state, he said, “the Morbi bridge collapse has brought shame to the fair name of Gujarat. The most shocking development is that no one, on behalf of the govt, has apologized for the tragedy. No one has resigned, taking responsibility.”

He added, “Gujarat is governed from Delhi and not by chief minister.”
